Cuddle Club is a cuddle format developed by Dave Pullman that you can use with your friends to ensure a consentful and non-sexual space for touch.
There are three basic roles one can take: Bird, Cat, and Dog.
Dogs are very open to being pet, hugged, and cuddled in just about any way that you can imagine. You can confidently touch a DOG knowing that the DOG will appreciate it or will take it upon themselves to communicate to the toucher that they are not wanting to be touched by them, in that way, in that moment.
Cats also love to be pet, but they must be approached in a way that will not spook them and they want to be asked and to give their permission before anybody goes ahead and touches them. So, if someone is a CAT, you must ask them and receive a "Yes" before touching them.
Birds also appreciate touch, but may be feeling a bit tentative or unsafe around a bunch of cuddling CATS and DOGS. They want maximum control over their cuddle club experience and don't wished to be put on the spot by being touched or asked for touch. So BIRDS initiate their own contact when and with whom they choose. A BIRD may touch a DOG or ask a CAT for touch, but nobody may touch a BIRD or even ask a BIRD for touch. Get it?
You can be creative and make yourself into a HYBRID of any of the above. For instance, you can be a DOG to women and a CAT to men or a DOG on your hands and feet, but a BIRD on the rest of your body or whatever. Also, at any time, you can announce an INSTANT EVOLUTION, such as "I am now a DOG!"
